RPS Family Legacy Born on Dellapietro Field continues at Patriot League Schools

The Patriot League did an amazing piece on a family of legacy within both Rutgers Prep and the world of college lacrosse. The video chronicles the journey of three Klipsteins - Christian '15 (Bucknell '19), Reaves ' 12 (Army '17), and Ryan '07 (Bucknell '11) in their college careers - but makes it well known where their passion began.

Their parents David and Tara are both Rutgers Prep alums (class of 1981) - Tara is one of our Directors of Admission, and David has been a longtime volunteer coach for the lacrosse team. Their grandfather, Dick "Oke" O'Connell was the Athletic Director at Rutgers Prep for 45 years and started the lacrosse program at the School.

Now, after coaching at Penn and Holy Cross, Ryan is back at Rutgers Prep, teaching history and coaching the boys lacrosse team. Reaves and Christian are both currently playing in the Patriot League, and they talk about what it's like to face off against one another.
