Rutgers Preparatory School
After School Study Hub Grades 5-8

What is the Study Hub?
Rutgers Preparatory School offers an optional after school Study Hub for students in grades 5-8.  This program is a supervised “quiet time” for students to work on homework.  In the Study Hub, Rutgers Preparatory School teachers provide assistance and support toward completion of assignments and encourage students to make efficient use of their time.  While the “Hub” will not provide one-on-one subject tutoring from teachers, students will have an opportunity to participate in our peer tutoring program, which features Upper School students working with Middle School students on an individualized basis.  The Study Hub is available Monday-Thursday from 3:15 PM – 4:45 PM.

How does a student register for the Study Hub?
Students will sign into the Hub in Room 202 of the Middle School by 3:15 PM.  Students who enter the Study Hub are required to stay for the duration of the program.  When (and if) all work is completed, teachers encourage students to review class notes from the day, form study groups, practice with enrichment activities, or to read quietly.  At 4:45, students in grades 5-8 will be dismissed to the Middle School After School Program.

What is the cost for the Study Hub?
The cost of the Study Hub is $9.00 per hour.  All billing will be made through the Rutgers Preparatory School business office.
